[ There is a lot of loud teenage yelling in the bracelet. ]

This is some baloney! Gramps! Hey, Gramps, Crozier, where the mess are you? Ya gotta get me to him, you sanctimonious Nurse jerk, he's sick! He ain't doing well and someone's gotta look out for him. Tell me where he is or I'll break your kneecaps!

[ Understandably, telling someone that you'll break their kneecaps gets you sent to the naughty room. Kyoko is speedrunning getting in trouble as not even two hours into her stay on the Clipper, she's sent to a padded room in Sick Bay. Anyone visiting can hear faint yelling from inside of one of the rooms and actual yelling should they go inside to see what's what.

Later, she can be found skulking around the ship, glaring at everybody and shaking down anybody from the Barge to try and get information. Crozier isn't here. And in Kyoko's mind, that's not going to stand. ]

"Crozier," Yunlan repeats. "I haven't seen him around here yet. The Authority told me there were three ships picking us up...."

But if Crozier'd died before coming here--

"What happened to him?" he asks, quiet and genuinely concerned.

"I dunno," Kyoko quietly answers. "All I know is that Xie Lian messaged me, not that long before we left. He said that Crozier...it was dark and Crozier fell down the stairs."

It's at this point that Kyoko realizes...Crozier might just be dead. He might not be on either of the ships because he's dead. Why would they spend time reviving a dead guy, especially an old one with just one hand?

Her breathing gets quicker as Kyoko starts to hyperventilate.

"Hey," Yunlan says, sitting up straight and making direct eye contact. "Hey. Deep breaths, Kyoko. He's not here, but that doesn't mean he's not okay somewhere else. Three ships, one in three chance this one would pick him up, right?"

"Why would they pick up—" nope, still hyperventilating, "—pick up a dead guy?"

"If you know what happened, somebody must've already requested he be brought back, right?

"It happened fast with Tim after the request."

He can't quite bring himself to say, he's probably fine, not when they don't know. But he's not above implying it.

"You say that but I dunno for sure," Kyoko quietly murmurs. "I only saw his body before everything went to sugar."

Pause.

"Everything went south? Stupid word nonsense."

"It's some real bull stuff for sure," Yunlan agrees readily. "And... I don't know for sure either, not unless he's tucked up in some corner here recovering. But my guess is, he's on another ship and okay."

He looks up at the ceiling overhead, mouth tight.

"Because if the people who aren't here aren't okay, I don't know what we can flipping do about it from here."

And he can't cope with that, thanks.

"We could burn the whole ship down," Kyoko says, with absolute seriousness. Would it solve their problems? No. But is Kyoko perfectly fine going out in a blaze of glory if it means inconveniencing the assholes who brought them here?

Absolutely.

"I'm already dead. Might as well see if it'll stick."

"I won't lie, Kyoko, I like the way you think. But the heck of it is, burning this whole ship down just makes it real obvious we aren't going to get to wherever they took our friends.

"What we want is to figure out how to take control of it."

"So then what? We could drive a ship that we don't know how to drive in an area where we don't know where we are to get back to our other ship that may or may not exist?"

She looks over at Yunlan, shaking her head slightly. "There are too many variables. Besides, we still have the Admiral's bosses to think about. We burn this place to the ground and teach everyone a lesson."

"Too many variables doesn't mean we give up on getting anything positive out of this and just burn everything to the ground.

"Believe me, taking a ship will send a hell of a lot more pointed message than blowing it up, even if we can't quite get it pointed in the direction we want to. And I think between all the people we have on board here, we at least have a chance."

"And I think you're forgetting about all the other people on board," Kyoko points out. "D'you really think all the people who are already here will just roll over and let you be in charge?"

Kyoko shrugs slightly before continuing. "They'll put up a fight. And, from what I've seen, all our actual heavyweights aren't on baby boat. Take everything out in one fell swoop, bang, it doesn't matter that we're stuck with a bunch of people who don't even know how to punch."

"So you're thinking that there are two solutions, one, win in a head-on assault using raw power alone, and two, give up and flip the table over 'cause you're going to lose? Come on, Kyoko. Being more powerful than whoever's running the ship is never a winning proposition.

"We just need to figure out where the vital bits are, that's all."

"Right, we find where the vital bits are and then destroy them to destroy the entire ship," she says, like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

"Because your option is what, find the vital bits and then hold them hostage? That option sucks."

"Find the vital bits," Yunlan says, spreading his hands. "Hurt them enough to fork over the Nurse -- the ones running these ships are hurt when the ships hurt.

"I don't know about you, Kyoko, but I'm not here for blowing myself to heck just as a flip-you to the world for thinking it could control me. I've got things to do, and I think we should be able to grab enough current Assistants to help us run a search of the ship and get our hands on the controls once the Nurse is disabled."

"Well then have fun trying to find people willing to go on a losing mission." She rolls her eyes slightly, glaring over at Yunlan still.

"You think Crozier'd be thrilled to hear you were planning a suicide mission?"

Low blow, but he's not ashamed to take low blows when he sees them.

Kyoko doesn't say anything. Instead she glares, gets to her feet, and attempts to kick Yunlan in the kneecap as hard as she possibly can.

Yunlan, long a master of the art of provoking people to violence through casual conversation, hops off the picnic table to the side to dodge Kyoko's kick, and sweeps one foot around at ankle-level to hit the leg she's standing on.

This isn't Kyoko's first fight. When Yunlan hits her leg, Kyoko gets hit but ducks into a roll as she falls, making it so that she's not as inconvenienced or dazed as she could be.

Useful, as when she scrambles back to her feet, she immediately tries to knee Yunlan in the crotch.

Yunlan twists to the side, and takes a knee to the hip: painful, but it's not going to put him out of the fight. She hits hard.

"Knock it the fork off, Kyoko!" he snarls, trying to grab her by the shoulders. "We're on the same side!"

That much is true. But Christ how Kyoko wants to fight. Fighting, violence, being top of the food chain, that's what she knows best. That's what she enjoys. And this? This entire situation isn't good. It isn't what she wants. She wants simple. She wants what she knows. And being the strongest is that and then some.

And so, she tries to swerve out of Yunlan's grasp as she swings another kick at the back of his kneecap.

Can he beat up a fifteen-year-old girl with an attitude? He probably can, when she doesn't have weapons-summoning superpowers! Does he want to beat up a fifteen-year-old girl with an attitude? He really, really does not.

Yunlan releases her shoulders with a shove to fuck up the aim on her kick, jumping backwards at the same time; her foot passes right in front of his knee, and he falls into an open-handed guard stance, not making any aggressive moves.

"Will you flipping quit it already?!"

"Make me!" she snaps. Sorry Yunlan, she's not quitting. As a matter of fact, she's rushing towards him again, swinging her elbow in an attempt to just knock him right in his gut.

He isn't very fast, but he is quiet and super harmless looking. So, it wouldn't be surprising if either of the pair assumed he was simply passing through, at first.

At least, up until he walks up, very pointedly staying behind Kyoko. With careful timing, he moves to scoop the angry teenager up. If he succeeds, she'll suddenly be held tightly in a princess carry. Baymax is soft, warm, and capable of holding up to 1,000 pounds.
