[ There is a lot of loud teenage yelling in the bracelet. ]

This is some baloney! Gramps! Hey, Gramps, Crozier, where the mess are you? Ya gotta get me to him, you sanctimonious Nurse jerk, he's sick! He ain't doing well and someone's gotta look out for him. Tell me where he is or I'll break your kneecaps!

[ Understandably, telling someone that you'll break their kneecaps gets you sent to the naughty room. Kyoko is speedrunning getting in trouble as not even two hours into her stay on the Clipper, she's sent to a padded room in Sick Bay. Anyone visiting can hear faint yelling from inside of one of the rooms and actual yelling should they go inside to see what's what.

Later, she can be found skulking around the ship, glaring at everybody and shaking down anybody from the Barge to try and get information. Crozier isn't here. And in Kyoko's mind, that's not going to stand. ]

Yunlan twists to the side, and takes a knee to the hip: painful, but it's not going to put him out of the fight. She hits hard.

"Knock it the fork off, Kyoko!" he snarls, trying to grab her by the shoulders. "We're on the same side!"

That much is true. But Christ how Kyoko wants to fight. Fighting, violence, being top of the food chain, that's what she knows best. That's what she enjoys. And this? This entire situation isn't good. It isn't what she wants. She wants simple. She wants what she knows. And being the strongest is that and then some.

And so, she tries to swerve out of Yunlan's grasp as she swings another kick at the back of his kneecap.

Can he beat up a fifteen-year-old girl with an attitude? He probably can, when she doesn't have weapons-summoning superpowers! Does he want to beat up a fifteen-year-old girl with an attitude? He really, really does not.

Yunlan releases her shoulders with a shove to fuck up the aim on her kick, jumping backwards at the same time; her foot passes right in front of his knee, and he falls into an open-handed guard stance, not making any aggressive moves.

"Will you flipping quit it already?!"

"Make me!" she snaps. Sorry Yunlan, she's not quitting. As a matter of fact, she's rushing towards him again, swinging her elbow in an attempt to just knock him right in his gut.

He isn't very fast, but he is quiet and super harmless looking. So, it wouldn't be surprising if either of the pair assumed he was simply passing through, at first.

At least, up until he walks up, very pointedly staying behind Kyoko. With careful timing, he moves to scoop the angry teenager up. If he succeeds, she'll suddenly be held tightly in a princess carry. Baymax is soft, warm, and capable of holding up to 1,000 pounds.

Yunlan's sweeping an arm around to intercept the gut strike, but --

-- well, the block never connects, because the blow never connects, because an enormous marshmallow man has just arrived. Yunlan stares, open-mouthed, and fully off his guard.

Wait what?

Almost instantly, Kyoko starts thrashing, kicking her legs ineffectively into Baymax, yelling all the while.

"What the heck?! Put me down you...you thing!"

He continues to hold her, being careful as he does so. The digital voice is gentle as his hold shifts into a warm (literally) hug.

"May I recommend a glass of warm milk? It will help you relax."

Zhao Yunlan half-falls back against the picnic table, laughing despite himself.

"What the fork! Who are you?"

Kyoko continues to struggle absolutely ineffectively. Her legs whack into Baymax's stomach as she tries to keep kicking despite the fact that she's getting hugged.

"Lemme go!"

"I am Baymax. Your personal healthcare companion," he says to Yunlan, while refusing to yield to Kyoko's struggles, "Unfortunately, I am unable to grant that request. I can only release you once you are calmed down."

And, on that note, some very soothing music starts to play as he gives soft gentle-robot-voice hums. He begins walking away with her; destination: a nice, quiet, and relaxing room! It's okay, Kyoko, he will save you from yourself!!

Well, holy shit. (Yunlan remains deeply grateful that he can still think profanity.)

"She's fine, really," he calls after Baymax. "Yo, Kyoko! Relax, let him put you down!"

Sure, the Healthcare Companion robot seems benevolent enough, but he also seems worryingly implacable. And who knows where he's taking her?

Kyoko doesn't relax. Instead, she goes to her last resort: biting. She chomps down on Baymax's arm, as if that will somehow help and not just be the equivalent of biting a pool floatie.

Kyoko doesn't manage to puncture him just yet, though even what she does manage proves it's most likely possible to make a hole. She'll just have to "pinch" the material with her teeth. And, since Baymax doesn't seem to "feel" anything there, this is probably the prime time to have a go at it!

Meanwhile, Baymax pauses long enough to slowly shuffle himself around to look at Yunlan as he politely speaks.

"If it would ease your concerns, you are welcome to come along. We will be listening to soothing music. You and Kyoko can have hot cocoa or tea, as well as some assorted snacks."

"...Hot cocoa," Yunlan says, voice dropping down to a dubious croak. "Okay, okay. Yeah, I'll be tagging along."

He shoots Kyoko a dubious glare: she'd better not go after him again the moment Marshmallow Man lets go.

Kyoko just glowers at Yunlan and at Baymax as she continues to try and rip a hole with her teeth in the dumb marshmallow thing's stupid skin.

She's very grumpy and very annoyed and does not like all of this.

It's going to be a little difficult to make even a tiny hole (unless Kyoko has fairly sharp teeth), but it isn't impossible! So, a very tiny hole will eventually be made. There's instantly the sound of a quiet fan running, preventing any immediate deflation.

"Oh dear. Causing harm to anyone is very forbidden. Unless you stop now, I will be forced to sedate you."

He does mean forced in a fairly literal sense, given a passive approach will earn demotion. But, unlike many, he prefers to give at least one more warning.

"Quit biting the inflatable robot, Kyoko," Yunlan says on a vast sigh. "Come on. Punch a wall or something like the rest of us, why don't you?"

Kyoko lets out a muffled noise which sounds kind of like 'urrrrgh, fine.' It's muffled due to the fact that she still has some of the inflatable robot's skin (covering?) in her mouth, which makes it sound worse than it actually is. She spits out the part of Baymax in her mouth before pointing out,

"Wouldn't it be better if you were metal?"

The quiet motor will continue preventing his full-on deflation, yet Baymax speaks as if that isn't happening. His voice carries more fondness than someone might expect of a robot essentially stuffed into very sturdy... plastic? It's hard to tell exactly what the material is, just by looking and feeling.

"Having a soft body ensures that an injured person would feel less pain, during transportation. Tadashi's dream was for me to be a gentle companion that could help everyone."

"Who's Tadashi?" Yunlan's betting it was the robot's designer or something like that, but it seems like a safe conversational topic. He's appreciating the fact that Kyoko's not actually trying to bite its arm off anymore.

Kyoko kind of also wants to know who Tadashi is. So she goes limp in Baymax's arms and just listens, waiting for the robot to answer the question.

"Tadashi Hamada was a robotics student at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. He created me in the hopes to help as many people as possible. He believed that I would help make the world a better place."

It's a very easily-given answer.

"Wait," Yunlan says, eyebrows shooting up. "You're a student project?"

"And how exactly d'you plan on making the world a better place anyway? All you've done so far is harass me."

Says the person who started the fight.
